Adventures in Attitudes® - A Journey of Discovery

Participants move through several high-involvement projects that help them to increase self-awareness, change attitudes, and improve relationships for greater personal and professional success.
ATTITUDE: A Choice That Makes a Difference

Gain control of your life by positively gaining control of your attitude, in any environment. This program will help take action against your own worst enemy, a bad attitude. You will learn techniques for analyzing, adjusting, and maintaining your own attitude, as well as strategies for helping others improve their attitudes both at work and at home.

Work Expectations: What Makes It Work?
Expectations.jpg Work expectations are those things people consider likely to happen in their job situation, either now or in the future. Whether spoken or unspoken, met or unmet, expectations have a powerful impact on our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and play a key role in driving our attitudes. Research shows that people who have clearly defined, well-communicated expectations find more satisfaction and success in their work than people whose expectations to unspoken or unrealized. This program helps people explore 10 work expectations that impact today's employment relationships.
Dealing With Conflict & Difficult People...Confidently!

This fun and information-filled seminar will take a light-hearted look at the common types of troublesome people you encounter. Then it will provide you with guidelines for coping with difficult behavior, responding to and resolving conflict, and reinforcing desirable action in others. After gaining valuable insight into how you handle conflict situations, you will have an opportunity to practice dealing with difficult personality types and managing conflict confidently.

Learn to Listen: Improving Communication through Positive Listening
Listening.gif Good communication is one of the most valued skills in the workplace. It's not just about speaking; it's about listening, too. How a message gets delivered, and understood, by both senders and receivers depends on each skill. This program focuses on developing your ability to listen effectively. Understanding your approach to listening in different environments will give you valuable insight about your ability to successfully communicate with others. The practice activities will help you to strengthen your listening skills, and discover ways to quickly improve overall performance.

This workshop uses the Personal Profile System® to group behavioral responses into four dimensions. The DiSC™ model and language provide a non-judgmental way for exploring behavioral issues and effectively communicating throughout an organization. It helps employees sharpen their people skills to clear away the biggest obstacle to success on the job. Building style awareness and individual participant action plans increase the effectiveness of interactions with others.

Change is affecting all of us in one way or another. With change comes a responsibility for being positive leaders of change. Many people aren't prepared for such a challenge. Yet...the ability to lead change vs. change leading us can be developed over time by learning and practicing key behaviors. Do Your Best!

Setting direction and living by it have become critical issues in today's organizations. Do Your Best! provides an exciting hands-on experience that uses fast-paced, enjoyable exercises to dramatically illustrate the principles of mission, vision, and goal setting. The short (five- to fifteen-minute) interactive exercises provide an active, stimulating means for understanding these refined principles. The activities are easy to understand for all members of the organization, yet provocative enough to use with executive and management teams.

Developing Strong, Cohesive Teams

Teamwork depends on the communication and leadership skills of all members, both staff and management alike. This program will help you learn about building and playing by participating in structured, experience-based games and initiatives.
